The phrase originated in the 1930s from an industrial engineer, Allen F. Morgenstern.
His intent was to increase peoples’ ability to produce more with less effort.

And we’ve heard the phrase so often since that it’s become gospel.
A mantra passed off as leadership advice.

But here’s the truth.
Despite its popularity, the phrase is hollow.
Promising transformation but delivering confusion.

In a world where AI is rewriting roles and pressure is mounting on professionals to do more with less, it’s not just misleading.
It’s dangerous.
